Root Cause Analysis, commonly abbreviated as RCA, is the structured process of identifying the fundamental cause of a problem rather than addressing only its visible symptoms. The objective is to understand why an issue occurred so that corrective actions eliminate the underlying condition rather than repeatedly treating its consequences.
